If you haven’t noticed yet, the new way to watch movies at home is with a DVD and not a VHS video tape. In fact most move stores that you go into to hire a movie only have DVDs to lease. If you don’t have a player at home that will play DVDs it is maybe time to buy a DVD player. What is nice about aiming to buy one now is that you’re going to not have to spend a lot of money as the cost of this technology has gone down as time has gone on. One of the first things to think about is if you buy a standalone unit or if you are going to buy a DVD machine that is engrained into a TV system. Today electronic companies are making systems that go right into your television so all you have got to do is purchase a TV and it’ll come with a DVD player already engrained with the system. This is nice if you are short on space and you do not need to find a spot for a huge and clumsy DVD system. one of the downfalls is that if your DVD system stops working then you may have to buy one anyway or if your television dies you’ll need to replace both pieces. Another thing to think about is if you are going to still wish to be able to play your VHS tapes. This is a great choice if you have lots of VHS flicks and are still going to need to be in a position to play them.
